April Sephora Play! — Stitches & folly

Sometimes I mark the passing of months by receiving my favorite subscriptions, and trust me I’m already looking forward to next month. I’ve said this before, but I love getting mail, especially when it is makeup. It’s now been 2 months since I cancelled Birchbox, rigggghht before they announced a price increase and change to structure of the subscription… and I’m still pretty happy with that decision. But let’s move past the old, and talk about the new! This month’s Sephora Play is a good one for me!

I actually own this product and use it on days that I know I need my makeup to last. I used to be much more oily than I am now. If you have dry skin this one is NOT for you. since you only use a pea sized amount, this sample could last a person a very long time!

CLINIQUEHigh Impact Mascara \\ Full Size $17 Sample Value Sample Value $8.50

I never say no to trying a new mascara, ever. I’ve used this as a 2nd coat, and it does a good job to add more volume.

GLAMGLOWGood in Bed™ Passionfruit Softening Night Cream \\ Full size $54 Sample Value $4.16

This smells great, and my skin has been looking very nice when I wake up. I have a $20 moisturizer that I love, so it’s hard for me to imagine using a $54 cream. Also, what’s with makeup companies always using suggestive names?!

FRESHSugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment \\ Full Size $26 Sample Value $12.10

I’ve been loving using this before bed. I can’t tell a huge difference between the advanced therapy and the regular one, but either one is great. I have so many samples of this brand, I’ll certainly never have to pay for a full size.

This has been hydrating my skin very well, and a little goes a very long way.

I’ve been trying this out the past few nights, and it is nice. I like an oil cleanser at night, but is it $29.50 nice? Certainly not. There are cheaper ways to take my makeup off.

Overall I’d call this a good month! I will use every item until it is empty. I can’t say there is one stand out product, but it’s all good.
