Monday Makeover || Simple Bookshelf

Well this one isn’t groundbreaking… but I painted a bookshelf over the weekend for my classroom and I’m pleased at how it turned out. My grandpa build the bookshelf, and it was in my dad’s room as a kid. It was a lovely mint green shade, which I honestly loved, and will one day likely paint it back to but it was covered in mildew and needed a fresh coat so I just used what we already had on hand. I dug out my paint sprayer and attempted to spay the primer on, but that thing and I got into quite the fight, so I ended up brushing on one coat of primer and 2 coats and Taos Taupe after a good scrub, and called it good.

It had been a long time since I have been able to do a quick makeover! I have plans for my next few projects after I get 2 quilts done… So share with me, have you done any quick makeovers that just make you feel good? Working with my hands and creating or refreshing something always helps ground me.
